Stephen Hammond leads the Mosaic community in the role of the lead pastor. This includes sharing vision, leading our staff and elders, empowering people with the scriptures, mentoring men and creating culture
Stephen is married to his beautiful wife, Lanette (11 years) and has 3 amazing kids. Harrison (8 years), Madison (6 years) and Bryson (4 years), along with a poodle (Blackjack) and a golden retriever (Lady) round out the Hammond household.
While living in the Arlington area since 1980, Stephen has seen his share of changes. None have had a greater impact than seeing people come alive in Christ. Since graduating from Southwestern Seminary, Stephen has helped children, students and adults find hope, faith and love through Christ. 5 years of working with Campus Crusade, 14 years of youth ministry experiences in 2 local churches and 4 years of starting new churches (including Mosaic) have given Stephen plenty of opportunities to learn and share. Add to that the numerous experiences of helping start a for-profit business and dabbling in the real estate market, and we tend to think that we have a pretty well rounded leader (in more ways than one). :-)
In his spare time you can find Stephen spending time with his family, watching good movies, playing poker with friends, enjoying the outdoors (golf, softball), in the gym (racquetball) or reading a great book.
